Here’s a step-by-step guide to make your arrival smooth and exciting.
Step 1: Travel to Boca de Tomatlán
Your adventure begins in Puerto Vallarta, from where you will head to Boca de Tomatlán, the small coastal town where you will board your boat to Amaca Beach.
Options to get to Boca de Tomatlán:
By Uber or taxi:
Simply enter "Boca de Tomatlán" in the app or tell the driver.By car: There are secure parking lots nearby (for an additional fee).
By public transportation: From downtown Puerto Vallarta, take a bus to Boca de Tomatlán and get off at the last stop.
How do you know you've arrived? When you see a picturesque little town where the river meets the sea and small boats float on the shore, you've arrived at Boca de Tomatlán! You also have the option of leaving from Muelle de Los Muertos or Marina for an additional cost and independent organization.

Those reservations that include boat transportation is available only at scheduled times. Any other schedule or use of external boat services must be arranged and paid for directly by the guest, with rates starting at
$150 MXN per person, per trip.

Step 3: Arrival at the Quimixto Pier
Welcome to Quimixto! Upon landing, you'll find yourself on a rustic pier surrounded by nature. From here, there are two ways to get to Amaca Beach, and both are part of the adventure.
Option 1: Scenic walk (20 minutes)
If you like to enjoy the scenery and feel the sea breeze, you can take a walk of approximately 20 minutes to the hotel.
- Easy and picturesque trail between the beach and the jungle.
- Perfect for those who want to connect with nature from the first moment.
Option 2: ATV transfer
If you prefer a quicker and more effortless arrival, you can opt for a quad bike transfer directly to the hotel.
- Cost: $450 MXN per trip.
- Duration: 5 minutes.
- Ideal if you have bulky luggage or prefer to avoid the walk.
Choose the option that suits you best when you arrive at the pier. After this last stretch, all that awaits you is total relaxation at Amaca Beach.
